= beroNet Cloud Installation Process =

== Prerequisites ==

 * apache2
 * libapache2-mod-php5
 * memcached
 * mysql-server
 * php5-memcache
 * php5-memcached
 * php5-mysql

== Installation ==

Install the packages mentioned above. If you use Debian or Ubuntu, just type:

	sudo apt-get install apache2 libapache2-mod-php5 memcached mysql-server php5-memcached php5-mysql

Edit the file /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini -- add or modify these lines:

	upload_max_filesize = 8M
	post_max_size = 8M

Run ./install.sh install <target_path> as root.

== Update ==

Make a backup of your database! As the beroNet Cloud uses MySQL you can use
the tool mysqldump to do this. To create a compressed backup of your
beroNet Cloud database, you can run this command:

	mysqldump -u <username> -p <password> berocloud | gzip -9 > /path/to/archive.sql.gz

Keep in mind that even a compressed backup of your database could take up a
lot of space. So check first if there's enough space left or mount an external
storage to save the backup of your database there.

A complete description description of this tool can be found here:

	http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/mysqldump.html

The program-folder of your cloud-installation will be copied during the
update-process. You should take care that there's enough storage left on you
beroNet Cloud-partition because of this.

Run ./install.sh update <target_path> as root.

Check if the installation went well and if everything's okay,
delete the backup of the berocloud-folder
(name is <target-path>/berocloud_<number>).
