Some companies use a PSTN line as a backup of the main SIP trunk to avoid these potential\u00a0issues. beroNet gateways are a good way to create such a PSTN backup line. Here is how to do it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a SIP account which will be the main account to where the calls will to be routed. To do so, navigate under the &#8220;SIP+&#8221; tab.<\/li>\n<li>Once the main sip account has been created, it is necessary to set a failover one: create a failover SIP account with the IP 127.0.0.1 which is the localhost of the gateway.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-54184 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beronet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/SIP-CONFIGURATION.png\" alt=\"Create a SIP account which will be the main account to where the calls will to be routed. To do so, navigate under the \u201cSIP+\u201d tab.\" width=\"452\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.beronet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/SIP-CONFIGURATION.png 452w, https:\/\/www.beronet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/SIP-CONFIGURATION-300x132.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 452px) 100vw, 452px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This second SIP account needs to be set as the back-up of the first one. This is a new feature of the beroNet firmware 3.0 that is found under the &#8220;more&#8221; options of each SIP account. In this example, we modify the main SIP account and set the second one as a failover. which is the localhost of the gateway.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-54188 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beronet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/second-SIP.png\" alt=\"How to create a SIP to PSTN failover in a beroNet gateway\" width=\"435\" height=\"98\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.beronet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/second-SIP.png 435w, https:\/\/www.beronet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/second-SIP-300x68.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 435px) 100vw, 435px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Finally, we tell the gateway that when a call is coming from the failover SIP account, it needs to be routed to the backup ISDN line that we have connected to the gateway.
